Qualifications

• Post high school education is required.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing; 1 to 3 years of experience managing people.
• Ability to set up and manage agendas with clear time frames and visual aids.
• Strong communication skills; speak clearly, listen well, and ask questions.
• Proficiency in operating Inside UFPI; understands policy training and main system navigation.
• Skilled in using Citrix and maintaining email etiquette with timelines.
• Knowledge of the Precise Plant Quality Program and quality issue troubleshooting.
• Attention to detail in identifying production details and ensuring accuracy.
• Ability to maintain a routine for day-to-day work while staying organized for flexible periods.
• Effective daily communication with employees and accountability for production expectations.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to UFP safety priorities; interacts with safety leaders on JDA's and JSA's.
• Training employees effectively, emphasizing safety and safeguards.
• Knowledge of CI principles, including 5S and TPM, and communicating their importance.

Responsibilities

• Manages the production operation of multiple departments and shifts.
• Leads a group of employees and motivates for maximum productivity.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves various problems and opportunities.
• Evaluates performance of individuals and programs.
• Coaches and counsels employees.
• Ensures compliance with all UFP policies, procedures, and applicable law.
• Communicates with employees and other management as required.
• Manages department cost and profitability.
• Oversees department inventory.
• Leads continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
• Prepares reports and maintains records as required.
• Participates in Safety Committee and ensures department safety standards.
• Performs other duties and may drive forklift to move materials.
