Job summary

UFP Industries in California seeks a Production Department Supervisor to oversee multiple production lines, manage training, and drive cost, safety and production goals. You will plan with management and develop methods to meet department targets.

You will coach and evaluate staff, ensure adherence to safety standards, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and TPM. Forklift experience may be required.

Qualifications

• Post high school education is required.
• 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience with 1 to 3 years in people management.
• Strong communication, time management and visual aids usage.
• Proficiency with Inside UFPI and Citrix tools.
• Knowledge of 5S, TPM and CI principles.

Responsibilities

• Manages production operations across multiple departments and shifts.
• Leads a group of employees, drives productivity and safety.
• Identifies problems, evaluates performance and improves processes.
• Coaches employees and ensures policy compliance.
• Maintains department cost control and inventories.
• Prepares reports and participates in safety activities.
