Job summary

Luxottica is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing activities, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and develop high-performing teams. You will lead production teams, coach staff, and ensure adherence to policies while maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

The role emphasizes problem solving, cross-functional collaboration, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to meet daily goals and ensure exceptional patient

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to solve various types of problems that may involve multiple departments within the Company.
• Ability to perform to high levels of competency in all aspects of lab manufacturing.
• Good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to maintain an even workflow and a motivating work environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Manage interactions with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead production teams to achieve daily goals and objectives.
• Monitor and evaluate productivity through team and individual metrics.
• Coach employees on continuous improvement initiatives and best practices.
• Communicate policy and procedure changes to the team clearly and timely.
• Schedule vacation hours considering seasonality and workloads.
• Maintain production and machine maintenance records and charting.
• Coordinate with offsite vendors to troubleshoot equipment remotely.
• Keep accounts and internal/external stakeholders informed about product information and Rx service.
• Foster motivation, teamwork, and a safe, organized work area.
