Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee a 30+ person production team on a single product line, ensuring operations meet schedules, costs and quality targets. The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts under the DuPont schedule and strong leadership in a manufacturing setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 3 years of operational leadership, with knowledge of OSHA regulations and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with a minimum of 3 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shift – DuPont Schedule.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of production processes.
• Strong aptitude for learning and understanding company policies.
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Working knowledge of SAP or ERP systems.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and provide direction to 30+ person production team.
• Plan and schedule the utilization of equipment and maintain maximum productivity levels.
• Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive, inclusive work environment and reduce turnover.
• Investigate root causes related to scrap, process excursions, quality complaints, or fire investigations.
• Ensure understanding and compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and process controls and company policies.
• Submit hours worked to payroll accurately and timely.
• Transmit production performance statistics to Shift Leaders, Maintenance, and Superintendent.
• Prepare labor, material and equipment usage reports.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
