Job summary

Chart, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor in Beasley, TX to oversee the Tubout department—driving scheduling, processes, and staff performance to achieve on-time delivery, quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities include leading production planning, collaborating with Engineering, implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while recruiting and coaching staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience
• 8+ years production/manufacturing processes and techniques experience
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience with JD Edwards (preferred) or other ERP systems
• Knowledge of metal fabrication and/or steel manufacturing/assembly
• Maintenance of manufacturing equipment
• High School Graduate
• Previous Production leadership experience
• Business Management/Project Management experience

Responsibilities

• Manage the production scheduling and coordination of activities within the respective group
• Initiate inter-departmental collaboration to meet production proficiencies and quality objectives
• Oversee production processes and guide personnel on production plans, schedules and key metrics
• Develop/implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives
• Provide leadership to achieve positive morale, production efficiencies, adherence to company policies, production timelines while maintaining high levels of quality and safety
• Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety guidelines/procedures/standards
• Collaborate with Engineering on design, new product development, equipment specifications, appropriate documentation
• Investigate production issues and develop resolutions
• Assist in employee recruitment, performance evaluations, discipline, succession programs and retention
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
