Job Overview

Directs and coordinates activities of production department(s) in processing materials or manufacturing products in an industrial organization. This role involves performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Shift Hours: 11 pm - 7:30 am, Monday - Friday

A Day In The Life

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, and company safety regulations, procedures, policies, and best practices. Responsible for building and maintaining a safety culture.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to ensure efficient, safe delivery of high-quality products to customers.
• Maintain high levels of employee engagement by developing skills, being accessible, and addressing concerns.
• Review production orders and schedules to plan department operations based on product data and delivery deadlines.
• Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing.
• Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet quality and production standards.
• Review reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues to minimize costs and delays.
• Inspect machines and equipment for optimal performance and utilization.
• Develop or revise operational practices and ensure workforce compliance.
• Resolve worker grievances or escalate unresolved issues to the production superintendent.
• Compile and retrieve production data for analysis.

What Will Help You Thrive in This Role?

• 3 - 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Kaizen and/or Lean training preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Ability to work 3rd shift hours (11 pm - 7:30 am), Monday - Friday.
