Position Overview

The Fabricating Supervisor oversees finishing activities, including folding, gluing, waxing, stripping, and bundling. This role manages shift operations efficiently and safely, ensuring quality and productivity.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with the Production Manager and Shift Supervisor to plan work orders, ensure quality standards, and maintain smooth workflow to maximize uptime.
2. Schedule and oversee production activities, manage employee performance, approve time records, and enforce company policies.
3. Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures.
4. Train employees on equipment, safety protocols, production standards, and waste management.
5. Ensure departmental operations align with continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Supervise equipment operation, inspecting materials and products to prevent malfunctions.
7. Analyze performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement strategies.
8. Participate in production meetings and provide updates.
9. Verify job quality and investigate customer complaints related to finishing.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of experience in corrugated manufacturing
• Flexibility to work varying hours
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework or manufacturing training
• Supervisory experience including training, team building, and conflict resolution

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Understanding of corrugated packaging manufacturing processes and safety practices
• Knowledge of manufacturing machinery and methods
• Familiarity with shop floor software systems
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical, mechanical aptitude, and excellent communication skills
