We are seeking a Production Supervisor based in Coopersville, MI, reporting to the Production Manager. The role involves overseeing manufacturing operations during a shift or group of production lines to meet volume, quality, and cost objectives.

Shift Details

3rd shift, Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am

Responsibilities include:

1. Managing production of multiple processes/lines in a highly technical environment.
2. Leading a team of professionals to meet quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness goals.
3. Reviewing plant performance, identifying areas for improvement, and advising on operational changes.
4. Troubleshooting operational issues and coaching operators to enhance performance and understanding.
5. Proposing and developing plant improvement projects with engineers.
6. Providing technical and operational support to project teams.
7. Acting as a liaison between operations and maintenance teams.
8. Training and coaching junior staff.
9. Prioritizing production schedules based on product launch, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
10. Participating in process development and cost improvement initiatives.
11. Assisting in budget planning and managing department expenses.
12. Ensuring a safe, clean work environment and compliance with safety standards.
13. Training and certifying personnel for their specific functions.
14. Enforcing safety guidelines among all manufacturing personnel.

Qualifications:

1. At least 6 years of leadership experience in operations.
2. Strong people and process management skills, with excellent relationship-building abilities.
3. Knowledge of multiple technologies and processes, with an understanding of their interdependencies.
4. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
5. Ability to supervise, discipline, and develop staff.
6. Problem-solving skills and practical decision-making ability.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
