Kraft Heinz in Champaign Plant seeks a Production Supervisor to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations under the Production Manager. You will direct a shift, assign priorities and support safety, quality and productivity improvements.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving and cross‑functional collaboration to meet business goals while maintaining compliance with cost and quality standards.

Qualifications

Job description

Supervises employees on an assigned shift to ensure manufacture of products, parts, components, or assemblies, or to perform service functions within established timing, quality, and cost standards. Supervises production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements, including product integrity and production order documentation. Determines manufacturing priorities based on established weekly production schedules and makes daily assignments. Implements departmental safety programs to ensure safety of employees working in the area. Assures product quality. Assists operators in problem solving and exercises considerable judgment. Directs routine equipment maintenance and set‑up.

Job Description

The Production Supervisor is a member of the plant leadership team and plays a key role in providing management and leadership to deliver business results and operational improvements. Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the day‑to‑day manufacturing operations for an assigned area and shift.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direction, leadership, development and support to direct reports through empowerment, teamwork, on‑the‑job assignments and continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
• Develop, implement and promote safety programs and safe work practices through involvement in plant safety teams, programs and initiatives.
• Promote sound employee & labor relations within the department by developing and maintaining an effective organization with qualified personnel.
• Develop, promote, and support continuous improvement and other cross‑functional initiatives.
• Achieve productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, quality, safety and employee engagement objectives through both individual and team contributions.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Business, Food Science, Engineering or related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a supervisor role is preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• The ability to lead, motivate and mentor large teams of hourly associates is required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical/critical thinking.
• Strong accountability, consistency and follow‑through skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior management.

New Hire Base Salary Range

$72,400.00 - $90,500.00

Compensation

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

Bonus

This position is eligible for a performance‑based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
