Job Description: Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift (Mercedes-Benz)

Your Contribution

As a Production Supervisor for the 2nd Shift at the Murfreesboro Plant, reporting to the Plant Manager, you will oversee daily production activities, lead employees, and focus on continuous improvement activities by analyzing data to identify opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and productive work environment.
• Communicate company policies, plans, and conditions clearly to employees.
• Review efficiency, OEE, scrap, and profitability reports; implement strategies to optimize results.
• Investigate deviations in efficiency, scrap, on-time delivery, PPM; determine root causes and work with teams to address issues.
• Develop and lead a 5S culture towards world-class standards.
• Ensure proper inventory control through reporting and scrapping procedures.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance, counseling, and training to employees.
• Analyze production schedules and estimate manpower needs.
• Collaborate with program management, engineering, and other departments to meet production timelines.

Your Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a technical field; university degree preferred but not required.
• Experience in automotive plastic molding and assembly is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with good decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and computer literacy.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
• Working knowledge of QS9000, ISO14001, and TS16949 standards, as applicable.
