Description

As a production supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a diverse and talented manufacturing team. Your primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the shift. Your position will also include directing, disciplining, training, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting. The Production Supervisor reports to the Director of Operations.

Summary Of Job Duties

• Help manufacturing staff achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
• Enforce company policies and guidelines
• Implement cost-saving strategies and techniques
• Ensure that production plans are completed on time
• Coordinate repair issues with appropriate sources
• Counsel employees on achieving optimal output or workflow
• Resolve issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
• Communicate with and assist other manufacturing departments as needed
• Evaluate the condition of production equipment
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all workers
• Compile and analyze production records
• Minimize downtime of the assembly line by ensuring proper setups
• Perform quality audits and complete necessary paperwork on specific units
• Inform engineering or Quality Control of manufacturing problems
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Previous supervisory experience
• Excellent coaching and communication skills
• Broad knowledge of production planning processes
• Strategic planning skills
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation
• Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to work with others in a team environment
• Ability to utilize computers/bar coding to track parts, routings, job orders, employee labor, and attendance
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret drawings
• Must be able to see and hear adequately to respond to auditory and visual requests
• Must be able to lift 10-25 lbs, bend, stoop, squat, twist, and stand for extended periods
