Reporting Line

This position reports to: Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead a team within a Production Unit or line to execute production processes, transforming parts and raw materials into ABB products in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will ensure continuous and efficient operation in accordance with volumes, schedules, procedures, drawings, and quality and safety standards and policies. Your expertise will be showcased by organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently.

The work model for this role is onsite (#LI-Onsite) with the intent to work 2nd Shift (3PM - 11:30PM), but with flexibility to work 1st or 3rd shifts if needed.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  1. Ensuring that production scheduling and plans meet volume requirements and inventory service levels as per the demand plan.
  2. Recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary.
  3. Identifying deficiencies in the production area, proposing improvement activities, and overseeing their implementation.
  4. Managing resolution of critical product or equipment issues with relevant internal teams.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) with 2 years of experience in manufacturing/production in a fast-paced environment OR 10+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Electrical Engineering background preferred.
  • Previous team leadership experience required.
  • SAP experience highly preferred.
  • Flexibility to work other shifts as needed.
  • Must have work authorization to work in the US for ABB.
