Your role as an Embroidery Production Supervisor is responsible for the management of embroidery headwear personnel for L2’s embroidered products so as to meet the Company’s on-time delivery, quality and profitability goals. This entails training, supervising, and coordinating production personnel; measuring and monitoring individual and team performance; and ensuring quality control standards are met on a daily basis. In addition, this position is responsible for monitoring adherence to company handbook policies. This position requires effective teamwork, clear communication, self-initiative, problem-solving, sound judgement and most importantly, an unwavering dedication to the quality and throughput standards of the product produced. Additional job duties include strict adherence to safety and security policies, and addressing any situations that need immediate attention. This position reports to the Embroidery Production Manager.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time hourly position. Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 3:00am. Longer hours, evenings and weekend work may be necessary as needed.

Your Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the employees who perform embroidery production duties.
  • Oversee on-the-floor workflow, staff and processes as related to prioritizing and scheduling the timely production of orders, taking corrective action needed for problem orders.
  • Shift to shift communication and cooperation.
  • Perform routine quality checks
  • Develop and coach Team Leaders
  • Create overall cross-training plan.
  • Act as communications hub for the embroidery production team, shipping, and management, disseminating pertinent and timely information.
  • Adopt and integrate LEAN manufacturing principles and identify continuous improvement opportunities of processes, systems, and production methods that will reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Regularly track and report departmental and/or operator performance metrics.
  • Develop solid understanding of Barudan embroidery machines and an ability to make light repairs.
  • Identify replenishment needs for raw material inventories and report needs to Embroidery Production Manager.
  • Enforce all safety and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and communicate needed safety equipment or issues.
  • Approve and monitor employee vacation and personal time.
  • At times document appropriate disciplinary acts within the department

Your Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years related experience and/or 1-year in-house training as a Lead Operator
  • Prior supervisory responsibilities preferred
