Job Objective

The Production Leader is responsible for providing leadership, administrative support, and coordination within the assigned production department to ensure conformance to schedule and procedures.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced computer skills, systems, and software to operate efficiently.

  • Meet daily production schedules.

  • Communicate necessary information to support departments and line personnel.

  • Verify inventory needed for process orders in production staging areas and self-help areas throughout the plant, ensuring proper procedures are followed for current and future orders.

  • Use staffing requirements to maintain or improve productivity.

  • Assist with orientation and training of all line employees.

  • Perform continuous on-the-job training for employees of various skill levels, including full-time and temporary associates.

  • Monitor team members' performance, address non-conformance, and advise supervisors as needed.

  • Enforce safety procedures and policies.

  • Ensure accurate counting and recording of components in SAP, including returns.

  • Maintain line and equipment, including Controlled Environment Suites, following housekeeping and cleanliness procedures.

  • Manage storage and availability of production supplies.

  • Coordinate machine changeovers and line equipment upkeep, including setup and basic troubleshooting of printers and coding machines.

  • Support other production team members, including other leaders and supervisors.

  • Recondition products as instructed by relevant departments.


Education and Experience - Required

High school diploma with 3-5 years' experience in a lead/supervisory role or an associate/technical degree with 2-3 years in manufacturing.

Ability to use basic measuring equipment, computers, and calculators.


Position Specific - Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Ability to interpret Vorne data to improve line productivity.

  • Experience with SAP for processing orders and managing inventory.

  • Familiarity with Livelink, Kronos, LMS, and manufacturing principles.

  • Knowledge of business planning, resource allocation, and leadership techniques.

  • Understanding of company policies and training methods.

  • Strong mathematical and English language skills.
