Job description

As a Production Supervisor, you will supervise daily activities of the production area to ensure that volume, cost and quality standards are achieved. You will coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequences to maximize productivity. You will help identify problems related to the production process and provide production reports to assist process improvement. You will supervise a small group of staff. You will report to the Production Manager and sit at our Lebanon, TN plant.

Please note:

Second Shift - Monday - Friday: 2:15pm - 12:15am

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production lines to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Manage labor and line density to achieve financial goals of line, ensuring daily customer production demands are met and communicated to customers and all dispositions are done with product for a daily/shift basis.
• Prepare and maintain all production reports to Production Manager
• Analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational production problems and correct, verifying that all MITS transactions are accurate.
• Maintain visual production tracker boards and reviews daily with team members
• Maintain safe work environment; Ensure compliance with OSHA and Environmental regulations. Confer with department heads concerning such problems as accident rates, and recommends and implements measures to improve safety records. Conduct all necessary safety, environmental, WWT, and 5(S) audits.
• Train, evaluate, and coordinate with Human Resources on continuous development of 12-15 direct reports. Perform performance reviews and provide feedback to team members; resolve personnel grievances and recommend corrective actions; determine staffing requirements, work procedures and duty assignments.
• Understand the environmental impacts of work activities and the consequences of departing from specified work instructions.

Qualifications

• 4 or more years of manufacturing or production experience is required.
• An Associate's degree or other higher education preferred but not required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Supervisor experience required
