Job summary

ZF Gainesville, LLC in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) to train and direct hourly employees, ensure safe production, and meet quality and delivery targets. The role emphasizes leading teams, coordinating with peers, and driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

You will oversee scheduling, performance management, and cross-department collaboration while upholding safety and Lean principles to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred) with 1–2 years in a supervisor role.
• English language competency required.
• Strong leadership qualities – coaching, communication, self-directed, process improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Blueprint reading preferred.
• Working knowledge of CNC and/or assembly operations preferred.
• Experience with TS16949 & ISO14001 and Lean manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Production & Strategic Planning) preferred.

• Maintain a safety-first culture by upholding housekeeping, safety policies, reporting injuries, and addressing safety concerns.
• Monitor production workflow, equipment, personnel, and resources to maintain productivity and on-time delivery.
• Schedule and assign work, establish priorities, track progress, adjust plans, resolve issues, and report shift results.
• Lead, motivate, train, and direct hourly employees to meet safety, quality, and production goals.
• Partner with other departments to address material flow, equipment, and process-control issues.
• Monitor and address employee performance, attendance, timecards, and annual reviews.
• Resolve employee relations and enforce policies consistently while following company procedures.
• Support compliance with work procedures, housekeeping, maintenance, escalation, and Lean initiatives.

Your Profile as Production Supervisor:

• High School Diploma / GED required. Associate’s degree preferred.

• 2 to 4 years of previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably automotive) with 1 to 2 years of supervisor or leadership role.

• English language competency required.

• Strong leadership qualities – including coaching, communication, self-directed, process improvement, etc.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Blueprint reading preferred.

• Working knowledge of CNC and/or assembly operations preferred.

• Experience with TS16949 & ISO14001 systems, and Lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizan, Kanban, Production & Strategic Planning) preferred.
