Job summary

Pop-Up Talent is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead multiple manufacturing departments on 2nd or 3rd shift in Wisconsin. You will drive safe, efficient, and high-quality production by coaching staff, coordinating workflows, and pursuing continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates will be hands-on leaders with 3+ years of supervisory experience, plastics manufacturing preferred, and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.

• Identify and resolve production issues with a hands-on coaching approach.
• Prepare work centers for smooth shift-to-shift transitions.
• Assign tasks and manage responsibilities to maximize productivity.
• Collaborate with Production Scheduling to optimize workflow.
• Review and approve timecards and enforce safety policies.
• Coach and develop team members for performance and growth.
• Train employees in safe operation of equipment and procedures.
• Maintain compliance with standards and reporting requirements.

• We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead multiple manufacturing departments on the 2nd or 3rd shift


• This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production by leading employees, coordinating workflows, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to developing employees while achieving production goals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead production operations to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, productivity, and schedule attainment


• Monitor daily production performance and recommend process improvements to meet and exceed operational goals


• Establish and communicate daily and weekly production objectives


• Identify, analyze, and resolve production issues using a hands-on, coaching-oriented approach


• Prepare work centers to ensure smooth shift-to-shift transitions


• Assign work and manage employee responsibilities to maximize productivity


• Collaborate with Production Scheduling to optimize workflow and production output


• Review and approve employee timecards


• Coach, mentor, and develop production team members to support performance and growth


• Train employees on the safe operation of equipment and enforce all safety policies and procedures


• Maintain compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and manufacturing procedures


• Ensure accurate completion of production records, documentation, and required reporting

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Education & Experience:

• Technical Diploma, Associate degree, or equivalent supervisory experience required


• Minimum of 3 years of Production Supervisor experience or 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience required


• Plastics manufacturing experience preferred


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications


• Experience with J.D. Edwards ERP system preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds


• Ability to distinguish colors


• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
