Project Management and Marketing Professional

As the Production Supervisor at American Motion Systems, you will oversee critical tasks such as daily production scheduling and assignment of floor tasks to Manufacturing Technicians and/or Interns, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. You will serve as the primary communicator, promptly addressing production floor issues to senior management for seamless workflow and timely resolutions. You will serve as the bridge between upper management and the team on the production floor.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will manage a diverse production team of 9+ individuals, including Manufacturing Technicians and Interns, providing clear work instructions, and ensuring adherence to the production schedule. You will collaborate with leadership and team members to tackle real-time challenges on the production floor and achieve manufacturing goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

Within the first 30-90 days:

• Partners with the Operations Supervisor to understand the day-to-day responsibilities of the role, including ERP system navigation, floor operations, how to draft production metrics and production issues, how to review ATPs for completeness, etc.
• Meets with the Operation Supervisor to identify key metrics to implement and track within the production floor that is not already implemented.
• Creates production schedules with direct oversight from the Operation Supervisor and craft weekly reports prior that outlines current projects

4-6 months and ongoing:

• Independently leads the production team through daily tasks, providing accurate instruction/demonstration, etc.
• Partners with the Operations Supervisor to learn how to properly communicate with clients, who to reach out to, and how to schedule items
• Identifies quality and production issues, communicating them to the leadership team as appropriate and depending upon the severity issue.

7-12 months and ongoing:

• Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks and challenges while meeting production goals and ensuring on-time delivery 100% of the time.
• Conducts annual performance reviews with all direct reports to discuss areas of opportunity for growth and development of a professional plan to assist in the attainment of established goals.
• Continuously improves processes for efficiency and quality, delving deeper into each process to scale output with fewer resources.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of experience in a supervisor role within a production, manufacturing, or similar environment in the aerospace, semiconductor, automotive, or related industry required
• 5+ years of progressive warehouse experience within a production, manufacturing, or similar environment in the aerospace, semiconductor, automotive, or related industry required
• Demonstrated knowledge of production processes, machinery, regulatory requirements, and industry standards required
• Proven track record of leading and managing a team within a production or similar setting required
• Highly skilled with various office equipment, computers and various programs including MS Office required
