Chemours is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our growing Operations team. This position will be available at the Louisville Works Plant located in Louisville, KY and report directly to the Operations Manager.

The primary responsibility of this role is to safely execute the asset schedule for the current week. Responsibilities include coaching and supporting operators, daily production support, resolution of process issues, and equipment troubleshooting. The Production Supervisor will create daily targets for operators based on the weekly schedule, drive improvements in process uptime and building effectiveness, and ensure activities are managed safely and environmentally soundly. This role works closely with the Production Leader, Technical (MT), Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure production targets and quality standards are met, and maintenance is performed within scheduled windows. It also involves managing process safety and personnel performance, coordinating with standards established by PSM, and leading continuous improvement efforts through metrics analysis. Leadership and development of team members, as well as execution of daily production and maintenance activities, are key aspects of this role.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor daily progress against targets, troubleshoot issues, and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Manage personnel in a union environment, including training, timekeeping, shift assignments, and ensuring qualification and safety compliance.
• Conduct procedure reviews to keep operating procedures and inspection forms current.
• Provide guidance on safety procedures and standards.
• Achieve results, troubleshoot operational problems, and support organizational improvement initiatives.
• Be flexible with work hours to support 24/7 operations.
• Communicate schedule changes and priorities with the Production Leader and interface with Maintenance for work coordination.

The Following Is Required For This Role

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in PSM High Hazard Operations.
• Strong reasoning skills and data analysis ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related programs.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

The Following Is Preferred For This Role

• Associate degree in engineering or related field.
• Vocational training or on-the-job experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt/Lean certification.
• SAP experience related to manufacturing.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with handling highly toxic materials.
• Leadership development training.
