Job summary

MasterBrand Cabinets LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a team of production associates, ensuring safe, efficient operations and high-quality output in our Kinston, NC facility. You will coordinate with maintenance, planning, and engineering to optimize production and drive continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production activities to meet output targets and quality standards.
  • Ensure safety protocols and PPE usage are followed across the plant.
  • Lead and coach production associates, promoting accountability and teamwork.
  • Coordinate with planning and materials teams to adjust schedules.
  • Identify and resolve process bottlenecks and quality issues.
  • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation of production metrics and personnel performance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime and optimize equipment.
  • Enforce company policies consistently and participate in hiring/training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of production associates to meet daily operational goals in safety, quality, and productivity. This role ensures efficient workflow, fosters continuous improvement, and maintains compliance with company policies and procedures. The supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams including maintenance, materials planning, and engineering to support cabinet and component production.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily production activities to meet output targets and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including PPE usage and plant-specific rules.
  • Lead and coach production associates, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Monitor and adjust production schedules in coordination with planning and materials teams.
  • Identify and resolve process bottlenecks and quality issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production metrics and personnel performance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime and optimize equipment usage.

  • Participate in hiring and training of new team members.

  • Identify potential quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to product specifications and process controls.

  • Support knowledge transfer and training across shifts and sites as necessary.

Continuous Improvement Orientation

Supervisors are key drivers of lean initiatives and process optimization. They should:

  • Participate in and lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Use data to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
  • Support MasterBrand Business System, Daily Management, and 6S efforts.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook)
Preferred:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Familiarity with cabinet or component production processes
