Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Door Plant, Millroom, and Framing departments to meet goals.
• Coach supervisors to drive performance, accountability, and development.
• Ensure production schedules are met with efficiency and cost objectives.
• Monitor staffing, workflow, and productivity to identify improvements.
• Promote safety policies and train employees accordingly.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to reduce defects.
• Manage department performance toward budget and targets.
• Maintain accurate production records and labor reporting.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focusing on safety and cost reduction.
• Foster a positive environment through communication and leadership.

Position Summary

The Superintendent is responsible for leading manufacturing operations within the Door Plant, Millroom, and Framing departments to meet production schedules while ensuring quality products are produced in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position provides leadership and direction to departmental supervisors and team members, driving operational excellence, workforce development, continuous improvement, and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Door Plant, Millroom, and Framing departments to achieve safety, quality, production, and delivery goals.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and support to departmental supervisors to drive performance, accountability, and employee development.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining efficiency, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Monitor staffing, workflow, and production performance to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
• Promote and enforce company safety policies and ensure employees are properly trained for their assigned work.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve issues and improve operational performance.
• Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to reduce defects, rework, and waste.
• Manage departmental performance to achieve budget, labor, and operational targets.
• Maintain accurate production records, labor reporting, and departmental documentation.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction, and employee engagement.
• Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, teamwork, and leadership.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organization, and workplace efficiency.
• Support workforce planning, cross-training, succession planning, and staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience managing supervisors, teams, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to drive results while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and employee development.
• Experience managing multiple departments, processes, or production areas preferred.
• Ability to analyze production data and make sound business decisions.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence principles preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Compensation Range

Compensation Range: $74,600.00-117,260.00 *Actual pay will vary based on qualifications and other factors
