Job summary

Auria is seeking a Production Supervisor for its Fremont, Ohio plant to lead hourly production teams, ensuring safety, quality and productivity goals are achieved. The role emphasizes coaching, lean practices, and continuous improvement to drive efficiency and cost control across shift operations.

You will oversee labor scheduling, monitor line performance, and implement effective training while maintaining strong communication with all team members and management.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a union environment.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees and schedule labor.
• Ensure safety, quality, housekeeping, and production objectives are met.
• Ensure equipment and materials are available to perform duties safely and effectively.
• Drive continuous improvement in scrap reduction, safety, and process improvements.
• Provide clear expectations and feedback; coach associates to achieve goals.
• Develop team members and promote lean practices.
• Monitor output, productivity, and production targets; address issues.
• Administer training and perform audits; lead team meetings.
• Communicate quality and safety alerts; provide daily production reporting.

Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide.

We are currently searching for Production Supervisor to join our team at our plant in Fremont, Ohio.

What you will do:

• Supervision of hourly employees and scheduling of labor
• Ensures safety, quality, housekeeping, and production activities and objectives are being met
• Ensures that all equipment and material necessary to perform the job effectively and safely are in place.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to quality, production, safety, cost control, and employee relations.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts in scrap reduction, safety, and process improvements.
• Provide clear expectations and hold team members accountable while providing continual feedback.
• Provide associates with inspiration, direction & coaching to achieve work objectives.
• Develop team members accordingly.
• Promote, maintain, and develop lean manufacturing practices.
• Monitor and address output & productivity issues within assigned departments inclusive of meeting production targets, cycle time and product & process quality standards.
• Hold associates accountable for meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.
• Assist with administering training for associates.
• Perform and complete various audits as assigned.
• Hold team meetings to present line and company information.
• Advise employees regarding quality and safety alerts and train associates accordingly.
• Provide daily production reporting
• Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by management
