Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly employees and schedule labor.

• Ensure equipment and material availability for safe operation.
• Drive continuous improvement in scrap reduction, safety, and process improvements.
• Provide coaching, feedback and development for team members.
• Promote lean manufacturing practices and monitor productivity and targets.
• Address output and quality issues across departments and meet production targets.
• Administer training and conduct audits as assigned.
• Present line and company information in team meetings.

Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,900 people worldwide. We are currently searching for a Production Supervisor to join our team at our plant in Fremont, Ohio.

What you will do:

• Supervision of hourly employees and scheduling of labor
• Ensures safety, quality, housekeeping, and production activities and objectives are being met
• Ensures that all equipment and material necessary to perform the job effectively and safely are in place.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to quality, production, safety, cost control, and employee relations.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts in scrap reduction, safety, and process improvements.
• Provide clear expectations and hold team members accountable while providing continual feedback.
• Provide associates with inspiration, direction & coaching to achieve work objectives.
• Develop team members accordingly.
• Promote, maintain, and develop lean manufacturing practices.
• Monitor and address output & productivity issues within assigned departments inclusive of meeting production targets, cycle time and product & process quality standards.
• Hold associates accountable for meeting Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.
• Assist with administering training for associates.
• Perform and complete various audits as assigned.
• Hold team meetings to present line and company information.
• Advise employees regarding quality and safety alerts and train associates accordingly.
• Provide daily production reporting
• Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by management.
