Manager, Production Services

Job Summary:

The Manager, Production Services will oversee pre-planning, logistics, resource allocation, and onsite management of production-level events, ensuring the event maintains a high level of production capability consistent with Pinnacle Live's standards.

Essential Functions:
  1. Serve as the on-site point of contact for production-level site visits, project planning, logistics, and event execution.
  2. Function as the production subject matter expert, recommending equipment and staffing levels, focusing on utilizing in-house resources.
  3. Translate client requests into production visions and identify opportunities to generate additional revenue.
  4. Create detailed production schedules and define deliverable cadences for each project.
  5. Generate CAD files to demonstrate the scale of production elements, including staging, lighting, projection, audio, and cable routing.
  6. Actively participate in event execution by filling roles such as Technical Director, Project Manager, or Producer as needed.
  7. Identify and train venue staff qualified to serve as show operators on production-level events.
  8. Maintain relationships with labor brokers and vendors for event support.
  9. Schedule equipment and labor, request quotes, select services, and create purchase orders.
  10. Prepare and manage project budgets, including estimates and actuals.
  11. Calculate power needs and coordinate with Power Services for additional resources.
  12. Design rigging plots for flown events, coordinating with Rigging Services for safety and efficiency.
  13. Manage in-house, third-party, and union labor for setting up, operating, and striking productions.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • At least 3 years of project management experience.
  • Ability to interpret floor plans and 3D drawings.
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks preferred.

  • Strong written, verbal, and project management skills.
  • Understanding of signal flow and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Basic electrical theory and rigging standards knowledge.
  • Leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software, and project management tools.
Physical Demands:

Requires sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, handling, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations available.

Travel Demands:

Up to 40% travel required.
