Job summary

Leviat, a global leader in insulation, lifting, anchoring and connection technology for the construction industry, seeks a Production Scheduling Assistant. You will support the Master Planner and manufacturing operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate daily production schedules and collaboration across teams.

The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with attention to detail and urgency.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 2 years manufacturing experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to plan and execute work through others.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, distribute and manage daily production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
  • Assist Master Planner in scheduling standard and custom products based on machine/asset capacity and manpower.
  • Utilize ERP capabilities for Work Order creation and management; share with floor Supervisors and Operators.
  • Review and validate Bills-of-Materials for accuracy when closing Work Orders.
  • Coordinate outside processing including PO creation, vendor management and material flow.
  • Review daily/weekly production output to address gaps to due dates.
  • Communicate production status updates to Customer Service and Sales teams.
  • Assist in material and WIP movement within the plant across assets/areas.
  • Identify material shortages and take action to minimize downtime.
  • Drive inventory cycle counting and participate in physical inventory.

The Production Scheduling Assistant supports Master Planner and Manufacturing Operations execution. This role will see the right candidate be able to think critically and move quickly in a fast-paced Manufacturing environment. It is essential that the candidate can work individually and in a team environment, be solutions oriented, detailed, and able to demonstrate a sense of urgency in their work. This role will report to the Master Planner.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to generate, distribute and manage daily production schedules to meet delivery commitments.
  • Assist Master Planner in scheduling standard and custom products based on machine/asset capacity, manpower availability and tool/die readiness.
  • Utilize ERP system capabilities for Work Order creation and management. Responsible for sharing Work Orders, drawings and other supporting paperwork with floor Supervisors and Operators.
  • Review and validate Bills-of-Materials for accuracy when closing completed Work Orders.
  • Process owner of all outside processing including: Purchase Order creation, vendor management and prioritization, coordinating material flow in/out of the plant, invoice review for accuracy and discrepancies.
  • Review daily/weekly production output to identify/address gaps to achieving due dates.
  • Communicate production status updates to Customer Service and Sales teams.
  • Assist in material and WIP goods movement coordination to the appropriate manufacturing assets/areas within the plant.
  • Identify potential material shortages and take appropriate action to minimize impact/downtime.
  • Drive inventory cycle counting process for raw materials and WIP goods inventories. Participate in the physical inventory process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements

- Required

  • High School Diploma or GED. Minimum two (2) years manufacturing experience.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the plant.
  • Excellent oral / written communication and listening skills.
  • Fundamental computer and system skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to plan and execute work through the direction of others.

- Preferred

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with high-volume throughput from multiple machines/processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems, production scheduling/inventory control modules.
  • Materials and Inventory Management skills/knowledge.
