Job summary

Barton Supply in Aurora, CO is seeking a Scheduler to manage the daily and weekly production schedule for our rebar shop. You will coordinate between Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Production to keep orders on track and safely executed.

This role requires 2–4 years in scheduling or production planning, strong data analysis, and proficiency with ERP systems. You’ll drive schedules, identify bottlenecks, and help improve throughput in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of scheduling, production planning, or manufacturing coordination (rebar/steel preferred).
• Experience in a high-volume fabrication environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.
• Proficiency with production scheduling tools and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and communicate the production schedule for all rebar equipment and fabrication lines.
• Assess daily workload, machine capacity, and staffing levels to confirm realistic timelines.
• Push back or adjust commitment dates when the shop reaches capacity.
• Update schedules due to call-outs, equipment issues, urgent orders, or material delays.
• Coordinate with Sales to validate lead times before commitments.
• Maintain scheduling and routing information within ERP/MRP and order entry tools.
• Prepare and distribute daily and weekly production forecasts and capacity reports.
• Identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
• Support workflow improvements, cross-training, and operational planning.
• Provide backup for order processing or production coordination.
• Participate in shop walk-throughs and support safety initiatives.
