Job summary

RK Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented planner to optimize CAD detailing and fabrication workflows in our Denver-area shop.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, the Shop, and Field personnel to ensure products meet customer requirements and are delivered on time. Responsibilities include updating forecasts and daily schedules, arranging material procurement, and generating production orders and cut lists to maximize machine utilization and profitability.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
5+ years planning experience in manufacturing preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Ability to work under direct supervision and follow guidance effectively.
Proven track record of developing and improving operational concepts, techniques, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist Production Planning Manager with daily production planning of work orders.
Set up scheduling of material procurement, processing, fabrication and painting of structural & miscellaneous steel.
Maintain Global Shop Solutions scheduling software database.
Supervise material procurement with purchasing to meet fabrication sequence needs.
Interpret specifications and blueprints for processes and cost impacts.
Create cutting programs and nest plate shapes for plasma burn table.
Enter production sequences into scheduling program and develop work orders for fabrication.
Analyze shop productivity and establish shop production rates for supervisor review.
