Job summary

Resource Label Group in Dallas, TX is seeking a Production Coordinator to oversee end-to-end order flow and master production scheduling. You will coordinate materials procurement, manage the shop floor, and partner with Sales to meet ship dates while minimizing waste.

The role requires detail orientation, strong organizational skills, and hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems, inventory control, and data reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Must have strong and accurate data entry skills.
• Must be willing to participate in regular on-the-job training related to the role.

Responsibilities

• Daily Scheduling: Develop and maintain the master production schedule for printing presses, finishing equipment, and other dedicated items.
• Capacity Analysis: Monitor machine uptime and labor availability to identify bottlenecks before they impact delivery dates.
• Order Tracking: Act as the primary liaison between Sales/Customer Service and the Production floor to provide real-time updates on job status.
• Workflow Optimization: Batch similar jobs to reduce changeover times and increase throughput.
• Strategic Sourcing: Purchase paper stocks, films, foils, and inks based on specific job requirements and historical usage.
• Inventory Accuracy: Conduct regular cycle counts and manage Safety Stock levels for high-use materials to prevent stockouts.
• Tooling Procurement: Coordinate the ordering of custom dies, plates, and cylinders required for specific label designs.
• Data Development: Develop relevant performance metrics (KPIs) to track production efficiency, procurement costs, and schedule attainment.
• Daily, Weekly, & Monthly Reporting: Monitor ongoing performance trends and issue comprehensive monthly reports to the management team.
• ERP Management: Maintain data integrity within the ERP/MRP system to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Other Duties: Perform other operational and administrative duties as assigned by management to support the facility's goals.
