Job summary

Connect Staffing Solutions is seeking a Production Coordinator for a manufacturing client in East Houston. This role supports the Production Planning department and emphasizes accurate schedules, material availability, and clear cross-team communication to meet customer orders on time.

Responsibilities include creating work orders, verifying materials, entering data into the QAD system, tracking labor and material transactions, and maintaining production records while adapting to changing

Qualifications

• Office experience required.
• Foundational knowledge of production planning or coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and maintaining production schedules to support on-time customer deliveries.
• Create work orders and enter sales orders into the QAD manufacturing system.
• Verify raw material availability and allocate materials to job orders.
• Enter shop labor transactions and record material transfers involving work in process and finished goods.
• Review customer purchase orders and coordinate order due dates with the scheduling team.
• Create new part numbers and production routing records as needed.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and track material purchases to support production deadlines.
• Reconcile work order reports and help investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Work with the team to identify causes of inventory variances and prevent recurring issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and supporting documentation.
• Follow company safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement activities.
