Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Production Planner II to craft and manage efficient production schedules, ensuring materials, resources, and labor align with goals. You will work with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, and logistics to optimize planning using ERP/MRP, MS Project, Excel, and SQL to balance capacity and reduce delays.

You will analyze data, improve scheduling processes, and support policy development while applying Lean practices in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Typically 2+ years of experience.
• Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Purchasing Best Practices, Demand Scheduling Tools.
• Skilled user of ERP, MRP & Excel.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to support decision-making processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and standards, such as ISO 9001.
• Understanding of capacity planning and resource allocation to optimize production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain efficient production schedules across departments.
• Coordinate production activities with procurement, manufacturing, engineering and logistics.
• Utilize MRP and ERP systems to manage schedules and inventory levels.
• Analyze production data to identify scheduling improvements and capacity gains.
• Develop and implement production planning policies and procedures.
• Provide troubleshooting and data-driven recommendations to stakeholders.
