Job summary

Simmons Prepared Foods Inc in Fort Smith, AR is seeking a Processing Lead for the Specialty Pack on the Day Shift. You will assist the supervisor, mentor new team members, and ensure production standards meet USDA requirements.

You will coordinate line setup, monitor line speed, communicate across team and management, and help achieve daily goals while upholding safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Basic math skills, reading, writing, computer knowledge and will need to have good communication skills in English.
• Preferred Education: Bilingual preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be able to communicate from team member to upper management; maintain a positive attitude; be able to do various jobs, multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in achieving production requirements and mentor new team members.
• Communicate with team members, supervisors, management, QA and USDA on line information.
• Set up equipment daily for start-up and monitor line speed to meet standards.
• Ensure goals are met daily, improve morale, and maintain USDA compliance.
• Participate in team development and policy implementation; coordinate work for synergy.
