Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a Production/Processing Lead to assist the supervisor in meeting production requirements and regulatory standards. The role requires mentoring new team members, coordinating with QA and USDA, and ensuring start-up readiness and proper belt speeds on the production line.

You will complete reports, assist with timekeeping, and strive to meet daily targets while promoting high morale and adherence to USDA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Mentor new team members on GMP, safety, sanitation and policies.
• Communicate with team, supervisors, QA and USDA about line information.
• Complete written and electronic reports; assist with line timekeeping.
• Set up line equipment for start-up and ensure correct belt speed.
• Help meet daily goals and boost morale with organizational skills and USDA compliance.
• Familiarize with Simmons operating systems and policies; communicate concerns.
• May be required to obtain forklift and pallet jack license.

Responsibilities

• Orientate and mentor new team members and ensure basic dress, PPE and safety adherence.
• Coordinate communications with QA, USDA and management on line status.
• Complete required reports and assist with timekeeping for line staff.
• Set up equipment daily for start-up and monitor production speed.
• Support daily goals and morale; ensure BEST practices are followed.
• Participate in team meetings and uphold company policies and procedures.
• Maintain readiness for additional duties as needed.
