POSITION SUMMARY

Since 1969, our factory has been a cornerstone just eight miles west of Harrisburg. Situated at a transportation crossroads, it offers quick access to major cities like Baltimore, Boston, and New York. As one of the largest manufacturers in the area, we produce a wide range of dry pet food, including beloved brands like Puppy Chow, Pro Plan, and Friskies. Beyond our work, we support local animal shelters, enriching the lives of pets everywhere. We’re also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Join us in Mechanicsburg, where small-town living meets big-city perks, and together, we make a difference.

As a Production Planning Coordinator you’ll maintain daily and weekly schedules to meet or exceed fill rate and overall production goals in our manufacturing facility. Play a critical role in managing relationships with vendors, carriers, and other factories to successfully monitor inventory levels and analyze material usage for improving processes. You’ll order supplies and assist with ordering packaging materials for the facility as you work collaboratively with other departments.

  • Oversee the procurement and management of inbound ingredients.
  • Coordinate logistics and purchasing activities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the factory, suppliers, and carriers.
  • Ensure continuous adherence to production schedules and inventory restocking.
  • Manage payments and represent the factory in dealings with suppliers.
  • Handle transportation logistics, including setting up truckloads and managing bulk deliveries.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
