THIS IS A WORK FROM HOME ROLE:

SCHEDULE MONDAY - FRIDAY, WITH 8 Hour Shifts BETWEEN 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM CST (shifts can change after training)

Job Summary and Qualifications

ThePhysician ServicesSchedulerisresponsible foranswering incoming phone calls, scheduling patient appointments in theregistration system, insurance verification, routing calls and communicating to theappropriate departmentor physician offices.

In this role you will:

• Answerincomingcallsinatimelyandprofessionalmanner
• Schedules all patient appointments for physician practices including cancellations and changes
• Insurance verification and verification of patient demographics
• Selectaccurateinsurancecarrierplansand informsthepatientofanycarrier that isout of network
• Provides Good Faith Estimates (GFE) upon patient request
• Informthephysicianofficestafforpatientofanytestingrequirementsaccordingtotheinstructionsandqueries in the scheduling module
• Ensurethatanyeditsareperformedintheschedulingmodule
• Ensure all required information isaccurateand complete in the scheduling module
• Workcloselywiththephysicianofficestafftoensurethatpre-cert/authorizationnumbersareenteredinthescheduling or registration system as needed
• Selectthecorrectpatientmedicalrecordnumberconsistently
• Utilizeappropriate method/toolto communicate withPhysician offices asnecessary

Qualifications that you will need:

• HighschooldiplomaorGEDpreferred.
• Oneyearofrelatedexperiencepreferred.
• Experience using EClinical Works preferred. Meditech or Cerner is a plus
• Experience in scheduling for physicians offices preferred
• Remote employees are required to live within 60 miles of a HCA Hospital.
