Job summary

Gentex Corporation in Manchester, NH, is seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler to oversee daily to weekly production schedules, manage material availability, and drive on-time delivery across multiple product lines. Strong ERP experience and lean manufacturing knowledge are essential.

The role requires collaboration with materials, production, and quality teams to optimize workflow, resolve bottlenecks, and report production metrics. This is an on-site position in New Hampshire.

Qualifications

• Minimum BA or BS degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum two years’ production planning, scheduling, and material control experience in a Military/Aerospace/Commercial hybrid environment or comparable equivalent.
• Proficiency with computer automated scheduling systems (ERP system).
• Familiar with shop floor scheduling and component issuing/kitting
• Strong understanding of entire flow of production from kit/part pulling to processing finished goods and end customer acceptance
• Supporting production of all materials across a variety of mix/volume product lines.

Responsibilities

• Build and publish daily and weekly production schedules for assigned work centers, production lines, or manufacturing departments
• Verify material availability before releasing work orders to the floor; coordinate with materials team on open shortages
• Track work order completion against schedule
• Update schedule in real time as production performance, equipment downtime, and priority changes require adjustments
• Ensure timely execution of all MRP transactions to facilitate proper product movement through the supply chain
• Daily review and closure of completed work orders resolving variances
• Support inventory accuracy by monitoring or adjusting consumption of materials, investigating and rectifying any discrepancies
• Process and schedule RMAs through production
• Attend/lead daily/weekly meetings to prioritize and plan production activities to maintain on-time delivery
• Communicate the status of job orders to internal customers on regular basis
• Participate in the generation of the daily/weekly/monthly production build plan and issues the plan to manufacturing
• Identifies schedule and line of balance to identify potential material flow interruptions (MFI’s).
• Follows up on status of past due work orders
• Coordinate with Department Manager to develop policies and procedures
