Job description

Position Summary

The Production Planner ensures manufacturing processes run efficiently and on schedule by creating production plans, managing inventory, and coordinating material flow. The Production Planner will optimize resources to meet customer demand, reduce downtime, and maintain cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and adjust rolling production plan in line with the master production schedule and customer orders
• Execute clear-to-build process in collaboration with supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, and warehouse operations
• Create work order priorities and sequencing to maximize efficiency and meet customer delivery requirements
• Monitor production progress and address delays or disruptions
• Optimize production capacity, labor, and equipment utilization
• Maintain accurate production planning data in MRP as needed
• Collaborate with commercial team for expedite requests
• Collaborate on NPI projects as needed
• Measure and act on KPI performance
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities

Qualifications

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in production planning or scheduling
• Software Knowledge: Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and MS Office (specifically Excel)
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) technology and supply chain logistics
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain preferred

Working Conditions

Manufacturing setting, ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs, work in varied conditions, and perform detailed work. Limited Travel.
