Job summary

SMTC Corporation in Melbourne, FL is hiring a Program Planner to develop and execute production plans that ensure material availability, manufacturing readiness, and on-time delivery in support of customer requirements and schedules.

The role collaborates with Master Scheduling, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and Program Management to optimize manufacturing flow, capacity, and inventory performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of production planning, master scheduling, materials planning, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems to support planning and material management.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, CPIM/CSCP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release production work orders aligned with customer demand, approved plan, material availability and capacity.
• Analyze MRP recommendations and production demand to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor production schedules and identify constraints impacting on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Production Control to resolve issues and optimize plans.
• Analyze BOMs and product structures to ensure accurate planning and readiness.
• Support New Product Introduction by coordinating planning, material readiness, and changes.
• Evaluate capacity and inventory to optimize resource utilization and meet commitments.
• Produce planning adjustments and recovery strategies to address constraints.
