Job summary

Jobot is actively seeking a Production Planner to join our growing manufacturing team. You will analyze inventory data, prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain supplier communications to keep operations on schedule.

You will help ensure 100% OTIF against customer commitments, coordinate with operations, and update ERP records accurately. This role focuses on cost improvements and timely hardware deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing planning and purchasing.
• Ability to analyze inventory data and prepare purchase orders.
• Strong communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Monthly, quarterly, yearly execution of customer commitments.
• 100% OTIF to all customer commitments.
• Coordinate with operations to move parts through the facility on schedule.
• Communicate execution risks and opportunities to leadership.
• Develop risk mitigation plans at the start of execution.
• Document lessons learned for improvements on future orders.
• Coordinate resources to ensure information flows to all players.
• Drive rapid resolution of ECOs, EOs, and MRB for development parts.
• Plan outsourcing vs. insourcing to reduce lead time and risk.
• Work with engineering and operations on cost improvement projects.
• Produce hardware execution schedules for management or customers.
• Maintain ERP data with commit dates, orders, quantities.

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

My client is a leading manufacturing company who is growing! They are looking to add a Buyer/Planner to their team who assists with planning and purchasing tasks by analyzing inventory data, preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and communicating with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly, quarterly, yearly execution of customer commitments
• 100% OTIF to all customer commitments
• Partnering with the operations team and to ensure parts are moving through facility in accordance with or ahead of schedule.
• Communicating execution risks and opportunities to Leadership
• Ensuring that appropriate risk mitigation plans are in place at the start of execution (ie: planning orders, yield factors, enlisting manufacturing engineering involvement, etc).
• Document lessons learned and opportunities for manufacturing improvements for any subsequent orders.
• Coordination of all necessary resources (quality, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, to ensure that all the necessary players have the information to move forward seamlessly
• Drive rapid resolution of ECO's, EO's and MRB for development parts.
• Proactive planning to identify when we should be outsourcing vs. insourcing parts in order to reduce overall lead time and risk to execution.
• Work with engineering and operations to drive cost improvement projects to ensure gross margin targets are achieved for hardware deliverables.
• Produce hardware execution schedules to provide to management and/or customers as required.
• Maintaining accurate data in ERP system to include commit dates, open/active orders, quantities, etc.
