Production Planner

Position: Full Time

Location: Cleveland, OH 44117 (HQ)

Department: Production Planning

Position Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for ensuring that all products required by internal and external customers are manufactured, shipped, and delivered on time.

Main Responsibilities

Production Planning

• Develop production forecasts
• Maintain and utilize production planning software
• Plan, schedule, release, and control production orders based on MRP requirements
• Review sales orders and collaborate with sales, marketing, production, and other departments
• Ensure data accuracy and currency
• Evaluate forecast results, coordinate cross-functionally to address variances, resolve schedule issues, and refine forecasts
• Contribute to inventory strategy development for existing, new, and obsolete items
• Manage raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory levels to meet business goals
• Develop and maintain safety stock strategies
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions

Purchasing

• Procure standard and non-standard services to support production and customer needs
• Follow up on delayed orders and expedite as necessary
