Job summary

ABC Supply's American Construction Metals unit in Shawnee, KS is seeking machine operators to join the team. You will operate machines, feed metal coil, monitor quality, and complete work orders.

This 100% manufacturing role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, being a team player, and willingness to cross-train on multiple machines. Training and certification, PPE provided, and benefits after probation.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manufacturing machinery is preferred.
• Ability to read calipers and tape measures is a plus.
• Must lift up to 75 lbs and stand for shifts.
• Willingness to be cross-trained on multiple machines.

Job Duties

• Operating machines and manufacturing equipment
• Cutting and feeding metal coil into machines
• Monitoring product quality
• Filling out and changing work orders and other paperwork as needed
• Packaging product per specifications
• Being trained and certified on various equipment
• Performing all duties safely and as directed

Qualifications

• Machine operating experience and the ability to read calipers and tape measures is a plus
• Ability to be cross-trained on multiple machines
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Positive attitude and team player

Physical Demand

Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.

Work Environment

100% manufacturing setting. Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes. Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery. Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
