Job summary

American Construction Metals (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, is seeking machine operators in Florida to join its manufacturing team. Shift runs Monday-Thursday 2pm-10:30pm and Friday 2pm-9:30pm, with opportunities to be trained on a range of equipment and processes.

Positions require the ability to lift up to 50–100 lbs, read calipers, and work safely in a 100% manufacturing environment with PPE. A positive, team-oriented attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Machine operating experience preferred and ability to read calipers and tape measures.
• Cross-training on multiple machines is a plus.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and manufacturing equipment.
• Cut metal coil and feed into machines.
• Monitor product quality and report variances.
• Complete work orders and paperwork as needed.
• Package product per specifications.
• Receive training and certification on equipment.
• Perform duties safely and per directions.

Job Duties

• Operating machines and manufacturing equipment


• Cutting and feeding metal coil into machines


• Monitoring product quality


• Filling out and changing work orders and other paperwork as needed


• Packaging product per specifications


• Being trained and certified on various equipment


• Performing all duties safely and as directed

Qualifications

• Machine operating experience and the ability to read calipers and tape measures is a plus


• Ability to be cross‑trained on multiple machines


• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs

Physical Demand

Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.

Work Environment

100% manufacturing setting Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes. Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery. Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
