Job summary

American Construction Metals (ACM), a strategic business unit of ABC Supply, produces a wide array of metal building materials including trim coil, edge metal, gutter systems, and other metal accessories. Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm. Duties include operating machines, cutting metal, monitoring quality, handling paperwork, packaging, and staying safe on the job.

Qualifications

• Machine operating experience is preferred.
• Ability to be cross-trained on multiple machines.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Positive attitude and team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and manufacturing equipment.
• Cut and feed metal coil into machines.
• Monitor product quality.
• Fill out and change work orders and paperwork as needed.
• Package product per specifications.
• Be trained and certified on various equipment.
• Perform all duties safely and as directed.

Job duties may include:

• Operating machines and manufacturing equipment


• Cutting and feeding metal coil into machines


• Monitoring product quality


• Filling out and changing work orders and other paperwork as needed


• Packaging product per specifications


• Being trained and certified on various equipment


• Performing all duties safely and as directed

Qualifications include:

• Machine operating experience and the ability to read calipers and tape measures is a plus


• Ability to be cross-trained on multiple machines


• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs


• Positive attitude and team player

Physical Demand:

• Associate must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.


• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for a full 8-hour day.

Work Environment:

• 100% manufacturing setting


• Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.


• Associate will have exposure to typical working conditions within the manufacturing environment, including but not limited to, seasonal temperature changes, occasional exposure to exhaust fumes, dirt, dust, debris, and grease, moving forklift equipment, and pinch points on machinery.


• Associate must comply with assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirement in varies areas, including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes.
