Job summary

Astrophysics Inc. in City of Industry, CA, is seeking a Production Coordinator to support daily production activities and coordinate across Electrical, Mechanical, and Imaging phases.

The role updates the WIP report, resolves flow issues, and ensures timely, efficient production workflows in a fast-growing environment. The position requires a 1–2 year background in manufacturing or assembly, strong Excel/Outlook skills, and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in a coordinator or support role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; ERP experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support production by ensuring the smooth flow of units between production phases (Electrical, Mechanical, and Imaging).
• Resolve flow issues by coordinating with Warehouse, Planning, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, or Quality.
• Track project timelines by completing the daily WIP report and assist with resource allocation.
• Coordinate the receiving of staged materials to maintain timely workflows.
• Maintain backlog follow up.
• Serve as a central point of contact for each production phase.
• Provide administrative support to various teams, including reports and correspondence.
• Regularly update production documentation and data entry for reports like the WIP.
• Track production metrics and suggest improvements to enhance performance.
• Assist with onboarding and training new team members in production processes and tools.
• Additional duties as assigned.
