Production Operator Wiring 2nd Shift

Reporting To

Production Supervisor

Your Role and Responsibilities
  1. Perform wiring activities on electrical panels for equipment.
  2. Read schematics, connection diagrams, or similar documentation and wire according to those drawings.
  3. Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  4. Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies.
  5. Maintain equipment and conveyors, and perform basic repairs when needed.
  6. Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; contact materials handler if supplies are needed.
  7. Periodically check products to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor.
  8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge and use of tools such as tape measures, screwdrivers, battery-operated tools, etc.
  • Knowledge of hardware arrangements—nuts, bolts, screws, etc.
  • Knowledge of 5S principles—sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain.
  • Knowledge and use of necessary PPE.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering job spec sheets, connection diagrams, bill of materials, and standard assembly drawings.
  • Ability to use cranes or other lifting devices, as needed.
  • Ability to use and work with hand tools safely.
  • Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple or basic instructions.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
