Production Operator Team Lead Wiring 2nd Shift

This position reports to: Production Supervisor

Your role and responsibilities
  1. Translate projected forecasts, incoming volume, and available capacity into a production plan with a time-phased build schedule.
  2. Model and support a culture of accountability for all team members regarding job expectations and company policies.
  3. Share observations with the Supervisor to enhance individual and team capabilities.
  4. Communicate policy and program concerns to management appropriately.
  5. Maintain zero tolerance for deviations from ABB values.
  6. Follow all environmental and safety regulations; promote and practice safe work habits.
  7. Provide high-quality documentation and utilize procedures and checklists effectively.
  8. Proactively update operating procedures or checklists to ensure accuracy.
  9. Handle sensitive information appropriately and communicate effectively with maintenance and contractors.
  10. Understand key process parameters and respond to process upsets or equipment failures.
  11. Apply problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; recommend and implement improvements.
  12. Maintain awareness of potential process or equipment issues and report errors promptly.
  13. Understand alarm and emergency procedures.
  14. Engage and train team members, develop troubleshooting skills, and provide coaching.
  15. Encourage responsibility and provide input on team strengths and improvements.
  16. Seek continual learning and promote team accomplishments.
  17. Develop relationships to foster teamwork and complete assignments timely.
  18. Plan and organize work effectively, exemplify a high work ethic, and promote operational discipline.
  19. Perform additional duties, including assembly or wiring tasks as needed.
Qualifications for the role
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years' manufacturing experience
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with cultural diversity in a global environment
  • Authorized to work legally in the US
