Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a production operator in Stockton, CA to operate and set up production machines, perform clean-up, and suggest improvements to meet customer demand. You will follow GMPs, safety rules, and quality procedures to prevent defects from reaching customers.

The role involves learning machine capabilities, cross-training in other plant areas, and supporting timely reporting and production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior work experience in the packaging industry; paper, plastics, converting (preferred).
• 6 months’ experience in some type of manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Work safely at all times and follow Pratt Industries safety rules, procedures, and participate in Plant Safety Committee.
• Follow GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes).
• Learn and comply with Pratt Industries quality procedures to prevent bad quality reaching customers.
• Perform a variety of tasks in the assigned department across different plant areas.
• Housekeeping and cleaning of work areas, keeping spaces free of hazards.
• Learn machine capabilities and help drive efficiencies while maintaining quality.
• Cross-train on other machines and plant positions.
• Complete necessary reports promptly (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Quality Data).
• Adhere to production schedule and be available for overtime as needed.
