Job Overview

The Production Operator I is responsible for safely operating manufacturing equipment, assembling products, inspecting quality, and supporting production goals within the AMPower operation. This role works as part of a team to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives while following standardized work instructions and established manufacturing processes. Production Operators are expected to maintain a clean and organized work area, support continuous improvement activities, and contribute to a safe working environment.

Job Scope

The Production Operator I performs entry-level manufacturing and assembly operations in support of daily production requirements. This role is responsible for operating assigned equipment, assembling products, inspecting quality, handling materials, and following standardized work instructions to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production.

Job Requirements

What Your Background Should Look Like
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior manufacturing, assembly, or production experience is preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and work standards.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials within established safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, attendance, reliability, and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience operating production equipment or assembly machinery.
  • Willingness to become cross-trained in multiple production processes.

Compensation
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.00/Hour to $20.50/Hour + 10% Shift Differential for working 3rd Shift. (subject to change dependent on physical location)
  • Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
  • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
