Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation seeks an Extrusion Production Operator III for the 3rd shift (Sun - Thur, 10pm - 6:30am) in Fuquay-Varina, NC. You will set up and operate extrusion machines, perform quality maintenance, and train on Day shift before transitioning to the 3rd shift.

A high school diploma and English proficiency are required. Responsibilities include managing equipment, batch changes, and documenting production activities, while collaborating with Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read/write/speak English.
• Able to follow written batch instructions and SOPs.
• Experience with mixers, scales and compounding equipment is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with accurate measurement skills.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates extrusion machines and tools to perform manufacturing operations.
• Maintains equipment to adhere to quality standards.
• Clean between color batch changes and operate with PPE and safety policies.
• Document production activities (Autonomous Maintenance, WIP tracking, OEE).
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and others to ensure product consistency and compliance.

Job Overview

Sets up and operates machines and tools to perform various manufacturing operations and maintains them to adhere to quality standards.

*This position is considered high skilled precision machine operator position.

*This position will train on 1st (Day) Shift then transition to 3rd Shift - Sunday to Thursday from 10pm to 6:30am*

Job Requirements

• Regular use of extruders running at elevated temperatures to melt the chemicals used. Much of the work involves cleaning of all processing equipment between the different colors of chemical types (Change Over).
• When cleaning, heavy scraping, wiping, and use of pneumatic tools with wire wheels is required.
• Document all production activities as required (Autonomous Maintenance, WIP tracking, OEE, etc.)
• Adhere to all safety policies, including PPE requirements and handling regulations for chemicals or pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Help maintain inventory of raw materials and production supplies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, TEOA, and others to ensure product consistency and compliance.

What your background should look like

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English

• Some experience using mixers, scales, and other compounding equipment a plus

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $26.00/Hour to $30.00/Hour + 13% Shift Differential for working 3rd shift. (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
