Job summary

TE Connectivity seeks an entry-level to mid-level production associate to assemble parts and operate machines in a shop environment. You will read BOMs and drawings, set up equipment, and work with the Quality team to verify product meets customer specs and standards.

The role requires basic Excel skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read, write, and speak English. Expect on-site work with safety-focused procedures and regular tool use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude and safe tool handling.
• Effective communication in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience with equipment such as air/power tools and precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines; assemble parts per directions.
• Read BOMs and blueprints to ensure correct parts and dimensions.
• Coordinate with Cell Lead on discrepancies in drawings or BOM.
• Inspect during production with Quality to meet specs.
• Use air and power tools as needed; maintain tool area cleanliness.
• Keep workspace organized and adhere to safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
• Work closely with the Quality Department to conduct inspections during the production process and verify product meets customer specifications and industry standards.
• Operate air and power tools as needed in order to aid in the manufacturing process.
• Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
• Follow safety rules and use safe procedures.
• Keep all tools and supplies put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Keep work area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What Your Background Should Look Like

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiar with Excel.

• Knowledge of various types of equipment such as:

Physical Requirements

• Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.
• Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

• Work performed in a shop environment.
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $19.00/Hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
