Job summary

Commercial Metals LTD in Texas is seeking a production/assembly operator to support fabrication and loading of rebar. The role involves operating fabrication equipment and assisting with material handling, while adhering to safety policies and training requirements.

Training will cover applicable equipment and procedures; cross-training on multiple machines is encouraged to enhance versatility in a fast-paced, outdoor industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work outside in all weather.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand long periods.
• Willing to cross-train and follow safety policies.
• Experience in heavy industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock.
• Operate production machines following established procedures.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold safety culture.
• Crosstrain on multiple machines and operate rebar fabrication equipment (shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, welders).
